Terms & Conditions
You must pick up after your dog and dispose of poo bags in the bin provided. We recognise you may not always be able to see where your dog has done its business, if you come across a poo that someone has missed, please pick it up, so we can keep the wood clean for all users. There are poo bags provided if you have forgotten yours.
Please keep to the Dog Walking Area within the yellow dotted line - do not go through any other gates.
You enter Porters Farm and Ruffian Wood at your own risk and responsibility.
Please shut all access gates behind you.
Please DO NOT arrive before the start of your time slot.
DO NOT enter the dog walking area early, even if there are no other cars.
Please lock the gate with the code behind you upon entering.
Keep your dog(s) on a lead until safely inside the second gate into the wood.
Sessions are 55 minutes, or 110 minutes if you have a double slot. You must have your dogs back in your car by the end of your slot time to allow the next user to access their slot on time.
If you cannot catch your dog - please call Xandie on 07808 166 829 so that she can let the next user know.
Cars and their contents are parked at your own risk. We do not accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage of property or vehicles on the premises.
Note CCTV is in operation.
We reserve the right to close Ruffian Wood at any time and issue a full refund.
You are liable for any damage caused inside or outside of Ruffian Wood.
Children are your own responsibility and must be supervised at all times.
Please note there is a deep pond in the wood - marked on the map - please keep children away.
Do not interfere with or make any alterations to the wood or fencing or benches.
We shall be allowed access to the wood at any time to carry out inspections, mow and to make repairs, but we will inform you beforehand.
Please be careful, the ground may be uneven and/or slippery; please wear appropriate footwear.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
No kites, drones or any other flying objects to be used; no football, rounders or cricket.
Please stick to the paths. Do not climb on fences and gates.
We are not liable for any death, damage, injury or loss to any person, animal or third party while on the premises.
Please ensure that your dogs are healthy and fit. All dogs must be wormed and up to date on vaccinations.
If your dog has been unwell in the past 48 hours, please contact us to cancel and rearrange your booking.
Dogs should not be left unattended at any time. In keeping with the law on responsible dog ownership - you are entirely responsible for your dog(s) and your own safety whilst on the premises.
Please report any damage to fences so that they can be repaired immediately.
Please do not allow your dog to dig anywhere.
Please do not pick flowers.
You are welcome to use the benches and picnic tables, but please take all rubbish away with you. Please don’t move them.
Please note there may be dogs in the garden near the parking area and entrance to the wood and they may bark
The Shepherd’s Hut is available to hire in conjunction with the wood, please contact Xandie for more information.
BANNED or RESTRICTED BREEDS:
Owners of banned or restricted breeds, such as the XL Bully, must adhere to all regulations stipulated by the Government https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/banned-dogs
Banned or restricted breeds must be kept on a lead and muzzle until through Gate 2.
If there are dogs from mixed households, any banned or restricted breeds, must remain muzzled and on a lead at all times.
Banned or restricted breeds can not come as part of a group of more than 5 households.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or evict anyone who does not adhere to these terms & conditions.
